The North Paw Stray Fund was created in the fall of 1999 to help find happy homes for stray pets. All animals in our stray fund are tested for intestinal worms and given appropriate vaccines.

Pets of breeding age are spayed or neutered, cats are tested for feline leukemia virus and dogs are tested for heartworms. The existence of the stray fund is dependent on financial contributions from clients and friends. We supplement these donations with organized fund raisers throughout the year. So far, our fund raising efforts have included sales of Tupperware and Current merchandise, dog wash events and cookbooks ($15 each)!

Special thanks to Kim Shuffler who held a silent auction at her re-opened Decades store and donated the profits to our Stray Fund. To date, we have placed over 350 pets into wonderful new homes! with your help we hope to achieve more in the coming years.
